Deciding On Your Wedding Theme
I loved working on my Wedding colours and found it easier to look at my season first. I was getting married on New Years Eve ( Or should I say WE) so I knew I wanted rich colours with lots of sparkle....
For lots of us our theme will be a traditional white wedding with touches of pastel colours for the summer wedding, or deeper shades for a winter wedding. Although, we are getting braver and quirkier with our wedding themes to show our personality. Let's face it, we only get married once and we want people to remember our wedding day. We want to look back and have fantastic memories about our amazing, exciting wedding day.
Here is a selection of seasonal wedding theme suggestions for your special day ranging from traditional to something a little bit quirky.
Holding your wedding in Spring will signify a new beginning. A Spring wedding can be full of fresh pastel shades such as yellows, vibrant greens and beautiful watercolours. Images of butterflies, birds, rabbits and spring flowers can all be used as part of your wedding day theme. Traditional spring flowers for your wedding day such as daffodils and tulips will be beautiful.
A fabulous and fingers crossed a sunny time to get married. Beautiful pastel shades of pinks, yellows, blues and greens From pale pinks to vibrant purples, most colours suit a summer wedding. Choose refreshing fruit punches, Pimms and a BBQ to suit your summer theme.
I love Autumn and seeing our countryside turning into burnt oranges, reds and browns, an autumn wedding can be a vibrant affair. Design your bouquet filled with burnt orange, red flowers with twisted willow, dark red berries and burnt orange leaves. Your Groomsmen can wear orange and red ties and waistcoats to match your bridesmaids dresses.
Creating a magical winter wonderland your guests will never forget is not difficult, I promise you... Fill your venue with silver and sparkle! Lots of fairy lights and glitter. Your crystal bouquet can be full of sparkly brooches which you could also display on your top table instead of going to the expense of using flowers. Hire a smoke machine for an added wow factor.
